HOW CAN I GIVE ACCESS FOR ONLY THOSE I WANT

i have a local area network and i have intrernet through cable
what do i do to keep others from using my internet?
i have installed wingate server on my computer and i want to give iternet only to 4 friends of mine .... i tried changing the prot for http and socks but no success. others still connect to my internet connection....
can i give access to only 4 ? and i found out how to give access to certain ip's but still other steal from me ... PLS HLP ME

Ok I suggest under Advanced>network interfaces> make the public IP not trusted.

Next create a user list or import it from the os, then under System Policies set those allowed to 'must be authenticated' to finish this search the FAQ's at qbik.com for Authentication how to's.

Report back and someone else may be able to take it further.
