WGIC fails to find server

Postby DBeard » Feb 13 04 2:34 am

We have a pretty simple network. Our internet access is centralized for several offices throughout the country, which have 512k burst pipes back to here, w/ only one static route in place pointing all traffic here on Private IP space.

WGIC fails constantly to find the Wingate server at these remote offices. Asking the user whether they want to choose a different Proxy.

WGIC often fails to pass traffice properly from these locations as well even when it can find the server. I can see the traffic on the server as whatever the application is and the connection type (ie socks) but there is no destination passed to the server.

EG.. FTP softwares built by companies we do business with will continuously fail without reason. One minute they work, the next minute we're spending three days trying to figure out why suddenly w/out change it doesn't work anymore. And suddenly it will work again w/out any change that we can determine.

Instant Messenger applications will sudden stop having the ability to connect as well, during these times, but WWW traffic is still going through the browser.

I don't know why this would be and can not even begin to guess.
