When I installed Wingate Client on our Windows 2000 Server we had the 2 following problems.

1. Internal Email was not responding on the Network.
External Email was okay,

2. The Windows 2000 Server seemed to be slow.
The document below refers to Windows 2000 Professional.

After uninstalling the Wingate Software the Email Resumed.

Which version of WinGate is this? The svchost error described in that article is an old one that dates back to version 4.5 or 5.0. If you have an old version, I'd recommend upgrading to 5.2.2.

Can you give us a bit more information about how you are configuring the email setup ? Are you using proxies, NAT or WinGate's built in mail server ?

We are using 5.0.7 as the Wingate Server which seems to be running fine on a Windows XP Computer.

The Client Software that caused the problem I am not sure how you find that out ?

Hi,
Yesterday whilst attempting to load up the latest service patch SP4, and updates to handle the recent Security patch for Windows we had an error occur with the Boot Partition.

The error was ‘Inaccessible Boot device’.
The Promise Raid controller seemed to be in functioning order according to the BIOS Utility.

To resolve this we had to
Boot from Disk 1 of the Microsoft SBS.
Press F6 to install the Supertrak SX6000 latest Driver
Select the Recovery Option (R)
Use the Automatic Option.
The system then recovered to normal.

Has there been any Issue when apply the Windows 2000 SP4 and the Promise Supertrak SX6000 Controller ?
