Problems with MS Outlook XP (2002)

I'm testing wingate vpn 5.2.2 (build 892), the sharing and vpn
are ok but I can't send/receive mail via ms outlook xp,
the clients are asumed and they are not using wgic,
what configuration use for (system) pop3 server, smtp server and email,
and what for (services) smtp proxy server and pop3 proxy server.
I need a guide step by step, thanks in advance.
What are the settings in email clients/server for the three kind of internet access:
- proxy
- nat
- wgic
Somebody help me (I'm sorry my bad English)
