with wingate 4.1.0 ,is firewall active ??

my understanding is the wingate firewall i active while the wingate terminal window is not open?

tmy friend needs to see it in print!!

so the computer wont need to have XP working and still have a active firewall??

or am i not understanding correctly??

It doesn't matter about Gatekeeper, as long as the WinGate Engine is running (the systray icon is blue rather than red) and you have installed the ENS (the firewall part of WinGate) then yes the firewall is active. I woudl also strongly recommend upgrading to the latest version of WinGate which is 5.2.2.

i will print this out and have him read this, so he will see that it best to upgrade(if it was up to me i would have done so by now)
by the way thios is working on a starband sat hook fine with out XP up also!!
