Garbage in system.log

Postby xednom » Feb 21 04 1:25 am

I've been using Wingate for a couple of years and thought I was familiar with most aspects of the product, however recently (and I guess it was from 5.2.2) I've noticed corruption/garbage in my system.log).
Typical example:

Anyone any ideas what might caue it / how to cure it ?

I've tried reinstallation. Have latest Microsoft patches etc.
Thanks

Hello,

That strange info. is WG generated. It appeared after the release of 5.0.8 or 5.0.9 I think. It surprised me too. It has to do with firewall activity and is in base64 I think. Check this link for explanation(near bottom of thread)

Hope this helps.

Thanks Chris
So its base64 and nothing to worry about... I'll have to look around for a decoder for that format.
Thank you for coming back with an answer so quickly.
Much appreciated.
