Installation Command Line Switches

Postby DBeard » Oct 08 03 10:32 am

Hi again,

We have distrubution software that we want to use to distribute the WGIC to desktops.

I can't find the command line switches to use with the installation program for use with our distribution software. Can someone point me to this reference?

Essentially we want as silent an install as possible.

just as an example and obviously not a working example:

wgsetup.exe -wgic

I think we may have a separate client installer anyway... I will check.

Try using msi files for the install. You can create the install file with wininstall LE (it's free) and just distribute that msi file using your existing distribution method. You can configure msi files to install silently using msiexec with the /Q switch. There is a complete list of command line switches for msiexec at http://www.serverwatch.com/tutorials/ar ... hp/2177581. Hope this helps.
