XP and Wingate server - start and shutdown time

Hi!
When trying to find a working solution I have downgraded from 5.2.3 that version gave me DNS problems and instability.

I noticed that:
- 5.2.3 and XP have problems in shudown (and maybe slower startup)
- same with 5.2.2. The shudown takes a very disturbing long time

THAN I INSTALLED 5.2 and the shut down went nicely and quick and startup was OK.

What time for shutdown can you expect and is there a log you can read to see what's happening?

PS What network protocols are recommended on the DSL and modem to server network card. To my lan on 192.168.0.1 I use TCP/IP, IPX, client form MS network, QoS packet scheduler, NetBios, File and printer sharing.
