Wingate and NT 3.51

Please tell me which are the latest Versions of wingate that will work on Win NT 3.51 AND Win NT 3.51sp5. Thanks.

Nowhere on the website can i find which versions supports which windows.


If the current Versions do not support NT3.51, where can i get old Versions. This is important.

You cannot install WinGate on NT 3.51. In fact no WinGate version will run on this OS. Do you not have an NT 4 machine? (That will also require SP4 or higher if you wish to use Nat).

I KNOW that Wingate 1.3 and maybe even 2.0 run on 3.51, i used it for months in 1996 or so. Or is that a different wingate?

To all intents and purposes, it was a different WinGate. The 'modern' WinGate (pretty much as we know it now) started at 2.1. I can possibly dig out that version from somewhere, but nowadays our minimium spec is Win 95 / NT 4 and IE 4, and even that maybe bumped up soon.

If 2.1 will work with nt 3.51 pls get it to me, all i need is the basic functionality. It is for historic/educational purposes and its pretty important for us. Thanks.
