Error in Wingate 5.2.3

Postby diego65 » May 23 04 3:30 pm

Not Sure of Cause or Solution... let me know if you have any suggestions..

Upgraded from 5.0.7 to 5.2.3 and things went well I connected with the dialer... as soon as the connection was completed and comfirmed all computers on the local net were Locked out by the firewall...... Lock out is total and complete till disconnect dialer then all local connections restored... Help! I've since backsteped the system to 5.0.7 till the problem can be resolved!

Hi Diego,

If you install again can you please check that your bindings are set correctly? If you go to options>advanced and select the network interfaces tab you should see your internal IP listed as public no trusted yes. It sounds like WinGate was seeing your internal NIC as a public NIC and blocking all traffic.

Thanks,

Matt

One other thing.

We made a couple of fixes to the dialup support in 5.2.3, these are in the 6.0 beta. If you get a chance would you be able to try this and let us know if it fixes your problem?

Thanks
