HELP! Java Authentication configuration

Postby NickyDJ » Jun 25 04 8:56 pm

Help , please!
After downloading and installing WinGate 6.0 Beta 3 i'm not able to use Java authentication for WWW proxy service. When i used 5.2.3 version java worked properly. I upgraded WinGate over 5.2.3 version without changing any configuration, but now (with 6.0 version) java doesn't work.
Could you tell me every right setting to use java with 6.0 version? Note that i setted each user must be authenticated and Remote control service binded on any ip address.

Thank you so much
Regards
Nicola

What user database are you using ? The 6.0 versions of WinGate no longer allow a mixed mode (Wingate + OS). If you're using the OS user database, you'll have to use NTLM. If you're using the WinGate Userdatabase, Java is your best choice.

Secondly, check that it is selected on the WWW Proxy authentication options.
