Socks

Sometimes Socks Proxy Server fail to start and show the following mesage:

Object: SOCKS Proxy server
Time: 17-Oct-2003 19:30:59
Message ID: 0506
Description: Service startup complete or partial failure - Check your bindings

Why is this happening?

I am using Windows 2000 Server SP4 with ADSL (pppoe) connection, Wingate 5.0.10

I am binding the local IP address and the loopback.

Hi jabiomtl...
the same problem is with my wingate too... but i can fix this problem by
first stoping the wingate engine.... deleting all cache.. all log files..and two files in the Root--> dir of wingate.. HISTORY and HISTORY.DBF..
and by restarting without first starting the wingate engine....

some times this works and some times this will not...

try installing wingate on a raid drive...

I will try this, but I just made a new clean instalation, I think there is something else wrong.
