Msn Webcam and Wingate Problem

Postby Sebas24 » Jul 19 04 1:53 pm

I have readed a lot of messages on this forum, but in my LAN Msn Messenger isn't working sending and/or receiving web cam video using a PC with WIngate 5.01 Server. I have 9 PCs and the PC server using Wingate, with default settings. The IP range for my PCs is 1-9 (Server is using 192.168.0.13). I have installed TCP/IP and I configure SOCKS 5 Proxy on Msn Messenger on client PCs, but in the server PC I'm sending/receiving video very well. I have readed that it's necesary to use NAT on client PCs, but I don't know how to do that. So, my questions are:

1) It's possible to send/receive video using Msn Messenger on client PCs with SOCKS?

2) If not, what I must to do?

PLEASE HELP ME!

Hi,

You should upgrade to at least version 5.2.3, we have confirmed that webcams work with this version.

If you install the Extended Networking driver in WinGate then you can use NAT. A NAT connection is simply setting the default gateway and the DNS server settings of the client to point at the internal NIC of the WinGate server.

Regards,

Matt
