2 ip addresses/port 443

Postby defiantclass1 » Sep 28 07 2:00 am

Hello,

I have 2 servers hosting web applications. Both require ssl. One is currently using port 443, the other is using port 1105. I would like to use port 443 for both. I have extra ip addresses that I am not using.

I'm thinking I would like to bind another ip address to my nic and direct my second site's domain to that ip address and through default port 443.

If this is a valid course of action, my questions are, what do I need to do in Wingate to make this happen? Do I need to bind that address in some area of Wingate? Are there internal office access to site considerations vs. external? What kind port forwarding settings needs to be made? Rights?

The rough setup would be 2 sites, 2 web servers, one Wingate server. Traffic coming in through one NIC with 2 IPs (each over default port 443)on the Winagate server, through Wingate and to the 2 different servers/applications.

Is my thinking correct? Can I do this? How?

Thanks a lot!
