Checkout doesn't work?

Postby kalvos » Aug 03 04 10:08 am

Hi all,

Any clues on this?

I have tried now 7 times to complete the purchase of Wingate 6 upgrade.

Everytime I get to the final check out page, the Proceed button does not function.

I had to turn off spam filtering because they send HTML mail with passwords, and now this problem.

Typically, QBik sales aren't answering their mail.

Running Opera 7.53 with all features enabled.

Thanks,
Dennis

Hi

We are up to date on all our sales and support mail, so which address have you been sending to?

Does your spam filter remove all HTML mail? That will remove a lot of legitimate mail then, or will it let through mail that has both a plaintext and HTML component? We can alter our message format easily enough.

As for the button, we will have to test with Opera 7.53 on that page, we did test the rest, but obviously get a bit reluctant to press that final button.

Have you tried with (sorry to suggest it) Internet Explorer?

I will have another look at potential issues with Opera.

Since this is a purchase issues, sales@qbik.com and esupportsales@qbik.com

Does your spam filter remove all HTML mail?

No. Only HTML mail that triggers the default setting of Spam Assassin. Mail with links and certain words in certain positions trigger it, and your password-generation mail does. Since Spam Assassin is one of the most popular spam-removal programs, you might retrain your password-generation system to send plaintext.

Many thanks.

No. After the last security outbreak, IE is permanently retired here behind our WinGate network. :)

OK, I see the ticket.

Can't say I blame you about IE either. I had a whale of a time when I upgraded to IE6 the other day....

I'm looking into the Opera issue now, it is most likely a javascript compatibility thing with relation to that button, which we remove on press so people can't hit it twice.
