Ftp access from WinGate PC

I have problems making ftp downloads to the WinGate PC. Based on previous advice I set the applications to use proxy and this works fine for web browsing but ftp will not connect at all in this mode. Ftp works fine if I dont specify proxy mode but that is not acceptable as I need both KAV and traffic accounting to function also on the WinGate PC.

Do you see any hits in the firewall window in GateKeeper?

With versions of WinGate prior to 6.0, there were problems with FTP access from the FTP proxy if the firewall didn't have a large chunk of ports open, which are open by default from 1024 - 4096.

However, with WinGate 6.0, if you specify a gateway for the FTP proxy to use, it will pre-create ENS entries for specific connections made by the FTP proxy, which obviates the need for this hole in the firewall.
