Hi!

Is it possible to forward all mail messages from wingate's imap server to another mail server to the matching mailboxes?

Preferably in an automated way.

Hi

take a look at directory replication - it's part of MS server OSes since 2000 I think.

that will maintain a synchronised copy of a folder (and I think subfolders) between 2 machines.

is this for load balancing / redundancy?

No I'd like to migrate the mail server to another machine, with a completely different system. So copying the directory structure is not an option. I need to forward the messages to the maching mailboxes on the new server.

is the new system an IMAP one?

If so, you can use an email client to do it, e.g. thunderbird, and just drag/drop the messages across from one account on one server to the other account on the other.

That then won't mess with the messages like forwarding would - you'd keep flags and date stamps etc.
