Im currently considering purchasing Wingate, however I have some small questions. I am an small time user that plans using this for a recreational/office use.
If I purchase WinGate 6.x Professional 6 concurrent users, does that mean that only 6 people can be surfing via my WWW-Proxy? I have no intentions of using any other services besides the WWW-PROXY. The prices to run just a proxy service from this package are pretty steep.
Anyone know any alternatives?

6 concurrent users means yes, only 6 users can concurrently surf through the proxy.
I'd recommend trialling the software first before making any decision. Even if you choose not to purchase, you'd still learn a bit about using a proxy, and you might find some other features you find invaluable.

If I buy a 6 user license, how hard is it to upgrade it down the road?
