Unable to connect with Wingate 6

Postby Rho » Aug 16 04 8:12 am

Hi,

I have been using wingate 4.x with not problems for quite some time, but i need to be able to open certain ports in the NAT firewall. I upgraded to 6 using my 4.x license and everything installed fine, but I could not connect to the internet after the install, even from the server.

I have a cable modem, with two ethernet cards. The external is DHCP, the internal has IP 192.168.0.1, and Subnet 255.255.255.0. I noticed in the network box at the bottom, both cards are visible, and are assigned their appropriate settings (i.e. internal, external), but both say "Status: Unknown".

If i disable the wingate engine the internet is available to the server, but upon enabling it the connection goes dead. I've had the same trouble with version 5.x.

Any help is appreciated,
Jon.

Hi,

What OS are you using and what network cards do you have installed?
