Dial-up to start, satellite VPN for added bandwidth - how?

I have been trying to find a way to use my satellite downstream via Wingate 6 to enhance internet on my 3-user LAN. I have all clients working and the dialer does make its connection correctly.
However, I then need to manually connect to the satellite VPN which is a "WAN Miniport" connection in Network and Dial-up connections.

Without Wingate, I used to double-click the satellite VPN connection and it had the setting 'dial another connection first' on to dial out via analog - once connected it would enter the username/pass for the vpn and I would get downstream via the satellite.

Any way to get this to work in Wingate ??
- if I put the satellite VPN connection first, it doesnt dial at all - tries 3 times and dies :(
