Wingate connection problem - URGENT

Postby vict0r » Aug 27 04 12:51 am

Dear All,
I have a customer in Indonesia and he is running:

Internet->DSLMODEM->Windows2000->Internal network.

We are setting up a firewall that is now placed on the internal network.
The IP address of the Windows 2000 is 192.168.0.100 Subnet 255.255.255.0 .

Now the firewall on the local network is 192.168.0.217.
I have added the gateway 192.168.0.100 to the firewall and DNS server 192.168.0.100.

The problem is that the firewall needs to update and to do this it is using Outgoing port 80 and 443 https traffic and it is like it is somehow not allowed to.

Any suggestions?

Are you using WWW proxy or TR connections? Make sure, that Https options in WWW proxy properties include port 443.
