Different settings for internet and intranet?

Postby marcgijsman » Sep 03 04 12:32 am

Hi,
We use the wingate 6.01 proxy and I am looking for a way to specify different routes to the internet and the intranet. We access the internet through a firewall and the intranet through a different router.
Is there a way to divide the traffic by Wingate?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Marc,

Do you have two NICs in the WinGate server? The recommended set-up for the WinGate server is to have one NIC pointing at the internet and the other pointing at your LAN, which would take care of your scenario.

When your server is set up correctly the traffic for the LAN will be sent out the correct interface automatically.

Regards,

Matt
