Encrypted Proxy Server?

I fear that some of my administration might be wise to my proxy server, which lets me bypass the firewall they've set up. From what I know, they're pretty dumb to all this and probably wont do anything but I still have a fear that they're seeing all the data (websites/passwords) going from my computer to my proxy server. I was wondering if there was any kind of encryption that Wingate offers. I need encryption from my laptop (which access the proxy server) to my home computer (that runs the Wingate proxy server). Since I'm on they're LAN when I access the proxy server, they can ultimately see all websites & passwords by simply getting a sniffer and setting it to log data on the proxy server port I use. So does Wingate offer the encryption I'm looking for? If not, does anyone know a good program that would get the job done?

Hi

You could use WinGate's VPN to connect to the proxy on your home machine. Then all communications between your work laptop and your home computer would be encrypted.

You would need to install WinGate VPN on your laptop though, and have the VPN enabled on your home machine (either enterprise license, or separate VPN license).

Basically you need something on your local machine to encrypt stuff before it is sent out.

WinGate's HTTP proxy can support SSL connections (Enterprise license again though) but I don't know if IE will make SSL connections to a normal HTTP proxy, or you can use TCP mapping proxies with encryption as well. In this case you would still need to install another copy of WinGate on your laptop.
