Which version of WinGate are you running? What type of memory issues are you seeing?

memory dumps...... NTKERNAL..... spoke to gary at your melb distirbuter, he said to turn it off in windows.....but if you think ther is another way around it, let me know, but from all assumtions, the product is not cleaning out the memory and is having memory leakage, is there a patch for this??? cos the machine is a pent 3.26 with a 1024mb of ram running a raid lev 1 setup, it doesn't crash, but now it does with wingate......

Generally, memory dumps are fixeable. It would depend on which version of WinGate you are currently running though. If it's not 6.0.3 build 1005 the first step would be to upgrade to that; as it has the most advanced version of our ENS driver.

Secondly, the more information you can provide about those blue-screens would help. Addresses, etc. Also - which version of Windows are you running? (NT / XP / 2K / 2003)

The last thing would be to ensure that you have the latest stable release of the drivers for your networking hardware to ensure that there are no incompatibilities.

running windows 2000 professional. Could the networking hardware be the problem??? it's a brand new netgear 10/100/1000 network card. I though it would be more likely dur to the 56k modem. I thought the proxy may have been cacheing the requests to ram and not cleaning up therefore causing a memory dump. is it true you can turn these memory dumps off therefore solving the problem????

Not necessarily hardware, but driver incompatibilities could cause it. I've spoken to Gene, our driver guru. There are a few bits of info we would like from you, please.

Which version of WinGate are you running?
Which module caused the bluescreen?
Which addresses, as per previous post?

Understand you're sick, just listing them so we have all the bits in one place. Hope you feel better soon,
Pascal

I'm also encouting the same problem. my windows 98 clients can't retreive and receive mail from outside (ISP mailboxes). I'm using wingate 5.0 installed on Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition
