Hi,

You should be able to connect to hotmail by connecting to an HTTP server and entering http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp

It is just a WWW connection so if you have internet access then WinGate won't be interfering with the hotmail connection.

Regards,

Matt

did you select use an HTTP server in Hotmail? What is the error that you're getting back?

Outlook Express actually has the defaults set up for connection to hotmail, did you use these?

OE will use your internet connection options from Internet Explorer, so maybe you need to check these.

Yes I use default setting from OE ==> HTTP server, I already set the ie to use wingate proxy. Like I said before, I can browse trough the ie, but I can't understand why cant do that on hotmail. I have no problem in using POP3, or SMTP in hotmail. the error was : Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server. Account: 'Hotmail', Server: 'http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp', Protocol: HTTPMail, Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 12019, Error Number: 0x80004005.
Still need response....... :(

thank's

If you turn on debug logging in the WWW proxy service and try to make a connection to Hotmail through Outlook Express you should see the activity in the log. You can post a snippet of it here and we'll have a look.
