TCP Tunnel to use with HTTP Proxy

Postby ignition » Oct 25 04 8:48 am

OK i want to forward all my tcp traffic via a TCP tunnel to a local HTTP proxy, just because my local ISP is counting ALL the non-metropolitan traffic, thing that definitly sux, due to my 1gb traffic limit which costs me 20$ ( stupid i think)

This means my Wingate has to be a TCP tunnel, which means that will forward TCP/IP traffic to the HTTP proxy .

I really dont know where to start from ... can anyone give me a valid answer.... a working linux solution called "desproxy" was tested , but Wingate is more convenient RIGHT now ....

Thank You in advance. [/b]

Hi

Do you want to forward all TCP traffic (i.e. web, FTP, mail, news etc) to your HTTP proxy, or just HTTP?

To forward a single port, you can use a TCP mapping proxy in WinGate. Otherwise you can redirect whole ranges of TCP ports to a specific IP address using redirects in the "Port Security" section of the Extended Networking configuration.
