Wingate Licese key activaition failure

Postby lohaster » Oct 29 04 8:47 am

Hej
My Wingate version is today 6.0.3 running on Windows 98 (on a DELL 90MHz maschine). I also had a problem with version Wingate 6, that I need to restart the PC one or two times e week because it was eating HDD space and I run out of memory. The last month one of my HDD crashed and I got a reason to upgrade a little bit, still Windows 98 but with increased HDD processor and memory. I thought this should be easy, just install the SW on the new one and move the license as well. I have done the following procedures:

1) deactivate the licens on the old PC
2) copied the same licens key to the new PC and tried to activate, but the licens server say no. very strange and I don't understand the reason.

Now I'm running a trial licese with more limitations that I have on my own that I not can activate.

Any proposals what to do and what I missed when I moved the licese?

Hi Lars,

What error message did the activation server give you?

All trial licenses will be full enterprise licenses, so there should be no way for an end-user license to give you more functionality (Trial will give you everything)
