Password to access some internet sites

I would like to know if wingate can be used in the following situation. A small shop has a windows network with a 2003 server in a workgroup, not a domain. There are four pc that are switched on in the morning and then are used by different people, all with the same password. If I install wingate on the server and configure the four pc to use it as a proxy, can I use a different password to access internet? For example, if I use a pc, without specifying a password I can see only the microsoft site, for example. The owner of the shop knows a secret password, so that he can access any internet site. That password should be specified not when the pc starts, but when the owner wants to go to a site that is not microsoft. Is it possible?

Yes, it should be. I'll need to test this in the office on Monday, but I believe the basic thing to do would be:

1. Setup a policy for Everyone that requires no authentication and has an advanced policy setup that allows access to microsoft.com.
2. Setup a policy for "Owner Username" that requies authentication.

There would be two recommended ways to do this:

1. Use the WinGate userdatabase with the Java client, and rely on WinGate as a pure proxy solution.
2. Install the WinGate Internet Client on each client computer.

I think (1) would be the best bet, simply because it sounds as if the server would be used as a workstation in that environment too. Then you can simply proxy it through 127.0.0.1 (Or even use "Automatically discover proxy settings").
