Modem sharing

May I know could wingate share out the modem on the network ?

Situation:
- An application must be accessed by 56K dial up-modem
- We have around 6 users that need to use the application
- But we don't not want to purchase 6 modems, and just has 1 modem connect to the server
- Could wingate share the modem out through the LAN, so that all 6 users can access the application by the same modem ?

Wingate does support dial-out sharing.

Hello genie,

May I double confirm your message.

The application can be accessed by modem only,
can every client PC emulate to have a dedicate modem, by means of wingate, so that can dial to the application directly ?

As I know the application can't be access by modem dialup to internet, then the modem share the IP out to the client PCs.

If the answer is still positive, would you please indicate which page in manual mention the setting ?

Hold on a second - Wingate server allows client machines to use the same modem sharing it's usage -is it what you are after? It does not allow clients to emulate the modem operations, though.
