Trouble with Remote Desktop Web Connection

Postby bsaling » Dec 20 04 10:43 am

I am having trouble configuring Remote Desktop Web Connection to connect with a server on the LAN through Wingate. RDWC is running on the gateway server that runs Wingate 6.0. Connecting to RDWC from the LAN I can connect to the server. When I try to connect to the same server using RDWC through an external connection RDWC cannot find the server. This happens whether I use the host name or the private IP address. I am listening on Port 3389 on both the gateway and internal server. I can connect to and log-in to the Gateway server using RDWC through the external NIC. The gateway server is multi-homed and I am running a split-brain DNS configuration. Why can't RDWC find the server resources on the LAN when I connect on the external interface? Thanks. . .
