problems with dameware and gatekeeper

I am having trouble getting dameware to connect to client computers that are using wingate client to access the internet. I can access all servers remotely and from within any of the servers since they are not behind wingate.

I was looking over the help section on how to add the dameware port, 6129, to the client or gatekeeper and allow it to run. I need to have access to the user's PC's to provide tech support and I have not been able to do it after I installed the proxy.

OK, I think I need to expand on my question.

I connect to the firewall(watchguard) via VPN and once I am connected I use dameware to connect directly to any of the server's using the local IP scope, 192.168.1.XXX. I can do this with any of the servers because they are not behind wingate or have wingate client installed. I want to be able to connect to any client machine using their IP. If this is not possible, I would like to connect to the proxy and from there use dameware to connec to any of the PC's behind the proxy/running wingate client.

If not dameware, I would like to use pcanywhere to connect to any of the client pc's.

OK, I was reading the section on extended network services and I think I know how to configure it. The problem is that I did not choose to install this feature when I first installed wingate.
Is there a way to add it now?

I really don't want to reinstall and reconfigure the proxy so any workarounds would be welcomed.

Hi,

Unfortunately, the only way to add Extended Networking support if you didn't choose it during the install is to reinstall.

But cheer up, it's not as bad as it sounds. All you need to do is back up your WinGate registry and run the install over the top of the existing installation. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes.
