Multiple Internet Connections

Postby lmax25 » Jun 24 05 3:06 am

Hello !
I have a network with 3 servers : every one with a 256K Internet connection.
Can I use Wingate 6.04 on the 4th server to join all 3 connections from the other servers and the result to be a new 768K connection for the Wingate users ?
Where the settings must be made ?

Instead of a real PC name from my network, in Wingate histrory I find other PC name (existing in my network) with the IP and username corresponding to the real PC ! Can you tell me why ? I don't use a DHCP service.

Thanks !

Hi,

You can you wingate to balance the load on your network adapters for proxied connections - Wingate proxies do have an ability to control gateway selection (not aggregated bandwidth support, though). NAT gateway selection is not yet available.

The machine name problem is probably related to WINS database since Wingate uses WINS to resolve IP names to machine names.

genie...i already do this but i have a problem...one gateway just drops after some seconds of transfer..I must press "Stop" and "resume" button in my multithreading client to get again both connections online...

i hope Qbik staff will look on this little problem because this thing is awesome...Is not a real alternative to uncapping but is ok...anyway here is a more detailed explanation of the problem with other Qbik member...

This facility is awesome because my isp put ip limitation (QoS) on the ip and the only way to get more bandwith is to use multiplle connections
