We have two systems running wingate that should be identical. One system, we had to uninstall wingate because FTP and our OAS console applications quit working.
The systems have a little bit different working, but on both systems FTP does not work when Wingate is installed. It doesn't matter whether "Use Wingate For System Apps" is checked out not.
I have tried both adding (except for FTP because I don't know what binary to add) binaries into the ignore list, but it doesn't seem to change whether or not wingate tries to proxy them. In the following list, both emdctl.exe and javaw.exe are in the wingate ignore list, but they both show up on gatekeeper. We also have problems with emdctl not being able to come up as a service, so we cannot manage our web applications.

Really, all we want wingate for is to forward mail through the proxy and to (on occasion) download windows updates. Is there a way to configure wingate to manage proxies for only email and web browsing and nothing else?
Thanks,
