Cache Exceptions?

Postby corcoran » Aug 10 05 4:58 am

guys - i'm a little confused about putting sites as non-cached on the server?

i'm in 'caching', 'what to cache' and have changed:

cache everything
to
specify which will be cached..

i want to exclude (for e.g.) www.amazon.com so do i choose 'specify what to cache' then put in a filter and criterion thus:

'this criterion is NOT met if <server name> <equals> <www.amazon.com>

i also need to not cache items under 50k?

if Anyone could reply quickly, that'd be great please guys!!!

That looks like you've hit the nail on the head. Are you having problems with it?

You are probably better off using HTTP URL rather than server name in the caching policy.

Adding to Matts comments,

Your Policy,

'this criterion is NOT met if <HTTP URL (as Matt suggested)> <equals> <www.amazon.com>

might be better having "contains"

'this criterion is NOT met if <HTTP URL> <contains> <www.amazon.com>
