are there any known issues with Windows ME and Wingate that would point DHCP lease time problems?

I am running WinME on several workstations for gameplay over the 'net. When the DHCP lease time expires Wingate shuts out gameservers from my site yet 'net browsing is unaffected - MSN is also shutdown. The problem is resolved by adjusting the lease time to a future date but when that time is reached again all gamers will be locked out of gameserver access. This happens to all games across a range of game makers and gameserver sites.

It seems the original installation had couple of months lease time in place so everything ran smoothly until the date expiration arrived. I thought lease time was a rolling number that renewed automatically?

Any advice would help....
