No longer able to collect mail from outside

Postby peter twartz » Aug 25 05 1:32 am

Hi,
I use the wingate mail server.
I am frequently away from the building and collect mail from the Wingate POP3 server using my laptop.
Around the middle of last week suddently I can no longer get mail.
Wingate sits on a Win2k box and connects to an ADSL router via a 2nd LAN card.
The following is the POP3 Server Log for a remote session:

Yes, there is indeed one message to collect.
No, it is not just me, everyone on the outside is experiencing the same problem.
The Server appears to send the file, but does not appear to "finish".
The session times out at 120 sec.
Outlook is the client and reports:
1 message couldn't be retrieved from teh server.
The TCP/IP connection was unexpectedly terminated by the server. 0x800ccc0f.

I am running Kaspersky on the Wingate box and Norton AV on the clients.

Anyone got any ideas?
Cheers
