ftp connection

hi ,
i have installed wingate 6.0 on xp machine which i use as proxy. Whenever i connect ftp via cuteftp or dosmode ftp i get error msg '500 '

FTP 500 errors are generally associated with active mode FTP transfers. Try setting your email client to use passive mode instead.
