IMAP authentication with Outlook 2007

Hi,
I want to start using the IMAP4 server in Wingate, and successfully have set up a user using Thuderbird, but can't get Outlook to work.

When using Outlook I get" general authentication failure"... authentication method not supported on this computer?

What’s the workaround here for Outlook?

I should also point out that this problem is only with Outlook 2007. My version of 2003 works fine with IMAP.
