Auto assign gateway for Internal Network

Postby duyminh1078 » Sep 16 08 4:21 pm

Hi bros,

We are using Wingate v6. There are 02 NIC: 1 internal (static IP without gateway) and 1 external (static IP with gateway). So far, I've experienced a big problem. My internal NIC was automatically assinged a gateway. And of course, there will be 02 route 0.0.0.0 in route map. It caused our user couldn't access to the Internet because it routed to internal gateway.

I have to disable NIC, restart wingate to clear the internal gateway. However, it showed up again after a few days.

Could someone help me to figure it out?

Hi

Do you have RIP client enabled in the VPN settings in WinGate?

Sounds like you may have some internal router on your network that is broadcasting a default route using RIP.

If you aren't using the WinGate VPN, you should probably disable the RIP listener in WinGate.
