Hi guys and girls,
Scenario:
I need to set up an emergency gateway for a client who is moving buildings before the end of the weekend, and the setup I'm using is as follows:
Internet connection: USB HSDPA/3G modem (no wired internet access in their new building yet)
OS: Windows Vista Business (UAC, Windows Firewall disabled)
Static IP ethernet port to connect to the office switch. All client PCs receiving DHCP leases from the SBS2003 box running the network.
What I'm trying to do is drop a laptop running WinGate with this USB network connection in the place of their old gateway as a temporary solution until they get their wiring finished and a permanent connection established.
Problem:
I've installed WinGate, rebooted, configured the external network adaptor as a dial-up connection and am now trying to configure port forwarding rules to match their existing setup.
However, despite being selected during installation, I'm not getting any indication that ENS is installed/enabled. It's not appearing at all, despite reboots, restarting the Wingate Engine, relogging into Gatekeeper... basically everything up to a purge and reinstall of WinGate.
Does anyone have any idea why it might not be appearing inside Gatekeeper?
Thanks all :)
