Postby stlony » May 26 09 8:39 pm

Dear Members of wingate support,
i discover a problem when i am trying to download Internet explorer from microsoft site in the following link:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en
the problem is when i press on download button there is another small explorer window open and had this title "http 500 internal server error" and the page can not be displayed.
and the first one is forward to the next page correctly but the download file didn't started
router ip (10.0.0.138) 255.0.0.0
wingate server ip (10.10.10.247) 255.0.0.0
client ips is (10.10.10.xxx) 255.255.255.0
client dns is 10.10.10.247
NIC & Wingate dns is provider dns

I tried with caching disabled. same problem download dosen't start

Note i use just one NIC for both internal and external. if i try to download the file directly from the router it started normally.

Your help will be appreciated.

Thanks
stlony

Hi,

Can you install a second NIC which has a separate subnet for the internal network?

This will work better with this internal NIC only having a private IP and mask, no DNS or gateway entry.
