Postby airlu » Sep 03 09 5:04 pm

Hi, All
Now I'm encountering a problem. In winsock redirector service policies ban list, I have written two criterions, one is "servername equals "www.yahoo.com"", another is "servername equals "www.163.com"". However client user can access "www.163.com", but can't access "www.yahoo.com".PLS reply. Thanks a lot!

Hi

I think the winsock redirector only receives the IP address in the request, not the server name. So I think you will need to use IP addresses for policy in there.

If you want to block websites, the easiest way is to turn on interception of connections in the WWW proxy. This will intercept connections made through the Winsock Redirector Service as well as via SOCKS or NAT.

Then you can apply those policies in the WWW proxy.

Regards
