Internet connectivity slows down

Hi

Installed the latest version of Wingate on a machine with a US Robotics modem. We used the settings from an old system (as that one was going to be phased out).
All seemed to work but the users complain that the internet access is dogslow and sometimes no connection will be made.

I checked with ipconfig /all the card settings (to se if DNS etc was ok) but then I noticed tens of PPP adaptors with 0.0.0.0 IP.
When I restart the system the only one that is left is the network card. After running the dialup that adapter is added and when I close the adapter is gone.
But after a while these 0.0.0.0 IP adapters show up again.

I think that this slows down the system but I have never seen this behaviour.
The only thing I can think of is that the disconnect for the dialup is shorter than the disconnect in Wingate and that this may cause Wingate to not free the adapter. Need to test this but this maybe completely wrong.

Has anyone seen this and know what it could be?

Anyone other suggestions on this subject (connection getting slower)
