"Error 501 Mailbox disabled"

Postby Ghassan » Sep 27 05 4:15 am

For the past week Wingate was working perfectly. Today ONLY one (out of 4) account does not send any mails. Outlook shows the following message "Could not send ... bla bla bla..Error 501 Mailbox disabled for account ..."
Now the weird part is that I have configured the account on OutlookExpress, it worked for a couple of times, after that it gave the same message.

help ?

Thanks

Hi

Is this outlook sending mail out through WinGate, or into WinGate from the outside?

What are the settings you have in WinGate email for the domain you are using? Does the address that you are having errors from have an address handler in WinGate which is enabled?

The full message is as follow:

"The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. Server Response: '551 Mailbox disabled' (Account :'account' , SMTP Server :'server ip', Error Number 0x800cc79)"

Another thing, the wingate server is downloading the mails from that account , but not letting them through to another station

Please note that:
- the other accounts on the same domain are working.
- the account is still active. i check/mail via browser.

thanks
