AOL internal browser and WinGate

Postby kthejoker » Oct 09 05 6:21 pm

Hi, I've got WinGate working with AOL Cable (a battle in itself) and everything seems to be working properly, except AOL's internal browser, and only dealing with aol.com websites. This wouldn't be a major problem except this includes all of AOL's internal exclusive content, including Radio@AOL and some other things I use pretty frequently.

In any case, I ran netstat to check what was going on, and it seems all of the connections are coming from VTOT.proxy.aol.com via the HTTP port (80). They are being routed to the proper open TCP ports on the firewall, but then they just hang until the page times out.

I can view aol.com pages on external browsers, such as standalone IE and Firefox, and I can view non-aol.com pages on the internal browser, like Google and CNN.com. Just not aol.com pages on the internal browser.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
