Filering access to website in the form of IP addresses

Postby carves » Sep 12 12 8:47 pm

Hi all,

I wonder if there is a way to filter access to website in the form of IP addresses ?

If so, can I also do IP range ?

Thanks for the tips.

Hi Ben

are you talking about filtering on a URL when the servername part of a URL is an IP address e.g. a request for http://210.55.214.36/

or are you talking about filtering where the name in a URL resolves to an IP address?

If the former, then you can manually classify any server name, including an IP address.

If the latter, then you'd need to use flow-chart policy and filter on Session.ServerIP

Well, my actually problem is that in the Activity window I can see if a user is accessing a particular website/URL.

However, when they go HTTPS, the IP did not resolved into a valid website/URL. Instead it just displayed IP addresses.

So, I'm looking for a way to blocked a particular IP address or IP range.
That make sense ?
