iTunes - iPhone update -23 error

Postby nsmith17044 » Oct 06 12 2:13 am

I have users with Mac's that are having problems updating their iPhones.

I currently have apple.com and verisign.com in the "allowed" list and have this as the next to highest rule in the priority list. HTTP to these sites works fine. However iTunes reports an error -23 after a slight pause in starting the upgrade download. When trying to update the phone through the wireless connection it just seems to hang. Previous iTunes updates worked before Wingate was installed on the network.

Network has about 15 to 20 clients during the day. We are not experiencing any other issues at this time.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a fix / workaround?

Hi Nathan

Can you see in the WinGate Management activity what is being requested?

We may be able to have a look remotely at your system if you like. If you'd like to pursue that option, send an email to support@wingate.com. We normally recommend Teamviewer for remote access.

Regards
