After ready my question I realize I wasn't real clear in what I was asking. I know that Wingate has an email server that one could probably configure for some degree of spam filtering but I just have a small home LAN and use my ISP's mail server so I don't want to go to the extra trouble of setting up and maintaining my own email server unless that was the only way to get what I want. What I am really asking for is a spam filter similar to that offered by Winproxy. I was a long time user of Winproxy before changing to Wingate and they had an spam filter option which basically examined each incoming email from the ISP's mail server and applied a set of user configurable filters to decide what was spam and what was valid email. If flagged as spam you could set up a filter in outlook express to route those emails so flagged to a special mailbox or delete them or whatever you wanted to do with them. While not perfect this method caught about 80% of the real spam so not that much wound up in my inbox. So the question is whether there are any plans to offer a plugin for Wingate that will examine and apply spam filtering rules to flag suspect emails which could then be handled by your email client's rules system to disposition them as you see fit? There are third party utilities that can do this but I thought it might be better if there was a Wingate plugin that could do it.

thanks
