Funky Setup

Switch is our default gateway. IP forwarding setup to point to other subnects since we're affilitiated with a larger organization we're part of their network. A few IP routes in the switch and then 0.0.0.0 points to the wingate box.

Active directory based user logins. ENS setup with WWW service intercepting on 80 and 8080.

Wingate setup on an XP pro box using the active directory server for the user database. Groups defined for proxy access.

I can never get it to work right. I'll change the System policies for everyone and under the advanced tab add what websites they can access. No logins required. Then I'll define another group with full access which syncs back to a group in active directory.

It will work for a little while and then quit. There are seventeen websites I'm trying to make accessable to any anonymous person and it works for the first few then starts to ask for authorization and then both quick working.

For some reason the DNS was not working resolving correctly between the two. I added two manual entry in the host files of each and it has been working.
