Wingate 5.1.0(867)-After few minutes wingate engine stop it

Postby renzo.rucco » Nov 14 03 3:26 am

Dear wingate users,
we have a pc with windows 2000 server, sp4, all patch installed until 12 november. In this scenary we have installed version 5.1.0 (867) and all work fine but only for few minutes, after that the wingate engine not work.
The only step for working again is to restart wingate engine.

What is the problem? There is someone that help us?

Best regards
Renzo Rucco

p.s.: excuse me for my english...:))

I've got the same problem on a Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition machine... I'm afraid we have to wait for the next release...

Hi,
Few points to try one at a time:

Turn off all logging, in services and history.

Disable the NAT/ENS [***beware no firewall though***].

What is the memory consumption of Wingate / cpu utilisation when it works compared to failing.

If the A/v plugin is installed disable 'attempt to clean' on the general tab of the configuration area.

Does the PC have the MSBlast patch installed.

For my situation one Win2k Pro SP4 machine is OK for days without any problem what so ever.

Report back someone will be able to help.

Nev.
